The Aenea Superior Inn Rome is a high quality guest house located in the trendy Monti district, full of shops and restaurants, the suburban neighbourhood of Suburra. The “Suburra” – the previous name of this district located on the sloped of the Quirinale and Viminale hills spreading as far as Esquilino hill – was a suburban neighbourhood of ill-fame, but where also new freedmen and patricians built their houses, surrounded by taverns, brothels, prostitutes, thieves, traders and some respectable people. The heart of Rome was like this. During the Emperor Vespasian time the Colosseum was built down the eastern part of the city, while on the south you could admire the Arch of Tito and the temple of Nettuno on the west.

The place is situated at an easy walk from Rome’s main attractions including the Colosseum (only 10 minutes away), the Roman Forum, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the church of Santa Pudenziana and its Byzantine mosaic (this is the oldest church in Rome, it dates back to the third century A.D.; the tradition says that Saint Peter might have found shelter there during the Christian persecution), the church of Santa Prassede. Moreover the “Cavour” underground (subway) station is approximately two hundred meters far.

Aenea Superior Inn Rome is housed in an elegant and characteristic Roman 20 century building. The 15 rooms have an amazing view on the Basilica of Santa Pudenziana (3rd cent.), air-conditioned hotel, non-smoking areas, TVsat, deluxe furniture, 24 hrs hot water, free linen and towels, no curfew, no lockout, hairdryer, teacoffee facilities. All rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and clean giving excellent value for money at this classy but budget accommodation in Rome.

Aenea Superior Inn can accommodate 2, 3 or 4 persons and have all the comfort of a high standard hotel, at very reasonable rates. All of the rooms have been recently refurbished and offer the perfect mix of spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort. The rooms are decorated in natural shades with characteristic wrought iron furniture and tiled floors.
The rooms are located on the 1st (the New Wing) and 2nd floor (with lift) of the magnificent XIX century building.
A free selection of breads and croissants is delivered to the tourists, in their room each morning. Friendly staff can provide helpful recommendations to help make their stay in Rome special.

All the rooms come fully equipped with the modern comforts one would expect from a 3 star hotel and not necessarily a central budget accommodation in Rome, therefore appealing to travellers needing cheaper rooms yet wanting to maintain a high standard right in the heart of Rome.

The guest house Aenea Superior Inn Rome has the perfect balance of quality with value for money and awaits your arrival in Rome.

REVIEWS:

"The hotel staff were very friendly, and recommended some excellent places to eat. The room itself was very clean and maintained throughout the week very well. The breakfast was VERY carb-heavy, and by mid-week we were a little desperate for something that wasn’t a sticky pastry, but it was novel to be able to eat in our rooms."

"Friendly staff, a lovely room with everything you could need and more, attention to detail that made our stay extra special. Location was perfect for wandering around the centre and breakfast was delicious."

"I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly but they were only at the b&b during working hours. Otherwise, we were on our own. It was a little out of the way.."

"the lift was too small - only big enough for one large bag and 1 adult, but not a major problem.."

"Although the Reception is not manned in the morning, the staff were extremely professional and made sure to know exactly when we expected to arrive so that they could greet us. We saw them every afternoon/p.m. They were helpful with directions and asked us daily whether we had everything that we needed. The room was lovely, with several windows and very clean with a modern bathroom. The balcony was charming."

"The bathroom had a shower, sink, wc and a sink for washing our feet. Breakfast was served every morning at 7 or 8. They hung a basket of croissants and baguettes at a hook outside the room so you could fetch it and eat whenever you wanted to. The staff was very helpful. They provided us with extra knives for cutting bread and helped us out with museum information. "

"Located in an ancient bulilding this "hotel room" was in fact a little appartment with a fridge, cooker and nespresso machine. The room was really clean."

"The air conditioning unit was poor. the breakfast was composed of tea or coffee in your room and a basket of bread hung outside your door. That is not breakfast. Very difficult to find, as this is not a hotel."

"Close enough to Termini for convenience but far enough away (if you know what I mean). As solo female traveller only felt mildly uncomfortable as night approached. Quite centrally located; was able to walk to all the sites."
