The restaurant at Antica Locanda is open non-stop from noon until 1am. Here you can sample typical Roman cuisine and a pizza straight from the wood-burning oven.
The friendly owner will take excellent care of you. Ask her anything about Rome and she is sure to point you in the right direction.
The neighborhood of Monti is very popular with the locals. You can find a full range of restaurants, pubs, and wine bars. The shopping street of Via Nazionale is just a few steps away. You are close to both metro lines and numerous bus routes.

REVIEWS:
“I stayed here for 5 nights in mid-August and enjoyed the experience very much. The style of the rooms was impressive and we thought the value for money was outstanding. Small and csoy hotel that offered everything we needed. Excellent location too - only 2 minutes walk from the coloseum and within walking distance of the majority of Rome's sites.”
“Great location, friendly & accommodating staff, reasonably priced, a minute walk to a metro station, the Colosseum is just up the road and its a shortish (but pleasant) walk into the centre of the city. The hotel is surrounded by lots of restaurants..”
“”We loved this hotel. It was quiet, charming, and quaint. Not extravagant, but clean and located conveniently for walking to the Colosseum, Forum, and not too far from the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and other sights. Breakfast was nothing special, but we enjoyed the quiet ambiance of their little cafe. Bathroom was very small, but clean and very functional.”
“The reception staff was moody and inconsistently helpful. The room was nothing like the pictures on the website or in the brochure. It was dated and tiny. Breakfast was not worth getting up for. “
“I had a very good experience at the Antica Locanda. Even though we had to trek up 2 flights of stairs, they gave us a suite for the price of a regular double room. The continental breakfast will do enough until you're ready for lunch. The hostess and hotel employees are very nice. “
“My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at the Antica Locanda. The location isn't bad, it's located near the Coliseum (about 4 blocks), but I think that we would have rather stayed somewhere near Piazza Navona, where there were a few more dinner and drink options. The rooms were decent in size, most importantly they were clean, the only downfall of the room was the shower, super small (as most are in Europe) but the doors were broken and the shower head was broken which caused water to spray everywhere. “
