The story of the Albergo Cesàri began in 1787 when a licence to run the hotel was issued to Stefano Cesàri during the papacy of Pio VI Braschi. The licence has pride of place in the hall of the hotel. The Cesàri, which Stendhal was very fond of, accommodated such illustrious personages as Mazzini and Garibaldi, and such historical figures as Momsen and Gregorovius.
The preparation for the establishment of the Repubblica Romana in 1849 was carried out here. From January 1 st 1899 till to day, the Hotel has belonged to the Palumbo-Curti family, who passed it down from father to son
The hotel is close to Rome's most important theatres, trendy restaurants, and fashionable streets such as Via Condotti, Via Veneto, and Piazza di Spagna - home to Armani, Versace, Valentino and many other famous designer boutiques.
Only a few steps from the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and within walking distance from Rome’s other main tourist attractions including the Vatican City, Piazza Navona, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and the archaeological sites of the Imperial Forums, the place offers a newly opened Roof Garden featuring a bar and lounge area with views over the Eternal City.
Completely refurbished in 2007, and occupying a historic building overlooking the former Stock Exchange, with four floors accessible by lift from the pink marble-floored reception, the hotel now features 47 sound-proof guestrooms, including 10 superior ones. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, in room safe, hairdryer, direct-dial telephone and complimentary coffee and tea making facilities.
Additional amenities include DSL Internet station, Wi-Fi connection in rooms and throughout the hotel. Buffet breakfast is served on the roof garden. Non-smoking floors are also available. Private garage near the hotel (at extra cost). The hotel’s new Roof Garden has a bar and lounge area with spectacular views of the Eternal City.
Friendly staff can assist you with tourist information and museum tours and tickets reservations.
Near Italian parliament, Albergo Cesàri is just 330 yards from the Barberini Metro station. You will be just around the corner from Via del Corso and Via del Tritone, both important shopping streets.

REVIEWS:
"The Hotel is small but the rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is adequete and served in the roof top terrace. The staff, especially at reception were fantastic."
"The location was great and the hotel was very clean and modern, and the staff could'nt do enough for us would definately go again."
"The elevator was slow and small but the hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotel location couldn't be better!!"
"Perfect location with nice breakfast included on the hotel's beautiful rooftop which has a great terrace in the middle of historic district. Would stay there again. "
"The rooms were not very beautiful but they were large enough and functional. There was a noise in the interior of the building that could not be identified or stopped."
"It's a great location. The hotel itself is very old but has been renovated. Rooms are spacious and the terrace is excellent for drinks in the afternoon with a lovely view of Rome. The staff are very helpful."
"while some rooms were bigger than others, all were clean and air conditioned and well worth the price. The only negatives were that all three shower/baths needed work--either leaky or with drain problems. The staff was cheerful and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and plan to on our next trip to Rome."
"Extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. More than your average front desk service. They provide advice, call taxis, suggest restaurants, and all speak perfect English."
"Due to its location, you'll have to accept some street noise from the busy restaurants below but it generally quietened down after midnight and didn't impact on sleep. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness, quality of service and price."
"Our room was a very comfortable corner room on the second floor with a large bath. The street, via Pietra, is narrow and echoes with noisy people talking and walking, but the hotel windows are modern and close out light and sound very well. Wonderful breakfast experience on the 5th floor terrace overlooking Rome's rooftops and churches. The staff was very friendly and helpful and fluent in multi-languages. We highly recommend the Albergo Cesari Hotel and hope to return very soon."
